Murten-Morat: Swiss Village of the Year 2024

Murten-Morat, the start and end destination of the Attila cruises, has received the «Swiss Village of the Year 2024» award. The jury, made up of readers of the magazines Schweizer Illustrierte, L’illustré and La Domenica, chose Murten-Morat from six finalists.

The award honours the diversity and cultural heritage of the Zähringen town. The town stands out for:

• Its bilingual culture
• Its lively community
• Its historical traditions, such as the festival marking the Battle of Murten, a firm part of village life

The award underlines the special character and uniqueness of the town.
